Have a new to me JD 1760 12 row planter with the factory ground drive. So far when planting soybeans it seems the actual population is lower than the rate chart says it should be. I set for what the chart says should be 118k and the 250 monitor and my actual counts give me around 110k. I have the tire pressure set according to the book.

I have the planter manual. But, the chart for seed populations only goes up to 45,000 for 30 inch rows, which seems waaay low. There is another section that gives seed populations in pounds. In this section, I found 60 pounds per acre, which is what I want, about 150,000 soybeans per acre. The chart lists 2 plates; H1255B and H2527B.
